Convoy Music Bar feels like a hidden gem. Tucked behind a restaurant plaza, you enter through a back alley, which adds to the speakeasy vibe. Once inside, the ambiance is intimate and stylish--perfect for a date night or a chill evening with friends. The service was great, and the drinks were unique and well-crafted. I only had a couple myself, but I got to sample a few from friends, and everything was bomb. I actually tried some drink with soy sauce which was very new to me; I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the area for dinner and want to keep the night going with some excellent cocktails. Would recommend.

Convoy Music Bar is doing it right. The bar is located behind a sketchy back alleyway and you'll know you're there when you see the red "On Air" sign. Everything about this place is magical. The music, the drinks, the atmosphere - it's a recipe for a good night. Their inspiration for the decor are the bars in Japan and I could definitely see it. It's small and intimate. The drinks are well balanced and flavorful! I recently tried the Elysium and it surprised me. Normally I go for a more citrusy drink but I wanted to try something new - Thank God I did! All of the staff and bartenders are witty and quick. Highly recommend asking them for their favorites! I would put this on my must tries if I was visiting SD.

EVERYTHING HERE IS AWESOME!!!!!! Omg came here twice and was still blown away the 2nd time as much as the first. The drinks are top notch and very unique from average bars. So well balanced and flavorful. Service is fun easy going crew that just love to drink relax and have a good time. The place rocks my socks off with speakers coming out of the wall and jazzy vibes and new hip beats coming out of the booms. It is pretty weird entrance past some trash cans but it is rad rad rad. We always take out of townies and really give them a special spot in SD PLEASE COME DONT RUIN THE VIBE AND ENJOY THE BEST DRINKS EVERRRRRRR Price point not bad and parking is a beeswwwh

A good experience. Fits the speakeasy with having to go through a back alley. To a random door. Definitely recommend to make reservations and see if you can sit at the bar. Food snacks they offered was enough to share a few drinks. Nothing heavy. The setting inside just set the environment to enjoy good music and lighting. Some dress nice and some dress casual. Parking isn't too bad. Recommend to eat at the Raki Raki Ramen and go grab a drink after there as it's in the same parking area.

This is no ordinary speakeasy. It's a cute and cozy listening bar, where the bartenders are very knowledgeable and personable. I love the teal, velvet upholstery! They have a wide assortment of cocktails. The Elysium, Vanna White and Father, Son and Holy Ghost were among our favorites. But if you can't make up your mind the bartender will create something from your preferences. We've also ordered the olives, burrata and nuts to snack on while we enjoyed cocktails. I get that speakeasies are hidden. But my only complaint is that to get to the entrance you first must walk past dumpsters that sometimes reek of garbage. That being said, they still earn 5 stars based on the ambience, service and overall experience!!

Heard about this place on TikTok and finally got the chance to stop by. They are tucked in an alleyway around the Tofu House area. Came here on a Monday night as a walking and we were lucky enough to get in immediately! Service was very quick and the drinks were delicious! The summer fling was delicious with the foam on top and even came with a friendship bracelet! The music was a bit loud but after it is called the music bar so makes sense

If you're a cocktail enthusiast, I say this place is worth checking out. There's a few unique cocktails (in my opinion) and well balanced - Not too alcohol forward (at least with the drinks we got). If you look at photos, the door is easy to find. If not, it can be kinda difficult. You can easily pass by the door. The service is nice and friendly. They check on you frequently - but I think this is also to make sure you get your order in since there's a time limit in your seating due to the limited space inside. Though I did feel like our drinks took a while to make. It's not like they brought them all at once, but brought them as they finished. I understand there's only like 2 bartenders? But it took a bit to get our drinks. They can get pretty busy - Reservations are highly recommended. Parties bigger than 6 aren't recommended.. heck thats still kinda big. I recommend no bigger than 4. It's doable but difficult. I docked a star cause we sat by the speakers and it was super loud. I get it, its a music bar but I wish the sounds were more centered (if that make sense?) and not right up your ear drum (if you're at the corner inside table).

Super cool speakeasy! You have to walk through an alley to get to the entrance so it was like a little scavenger hunt. You find the red light & someone comes to greet you. My friends and I (5 people total) did not have a reservation & were told about 2 hours, but they accommodated us in about 20 minutes! We were sat at the bar, as that seemed to be the only place to seat guests in larger parties. If I came back, I'd come in a smaller group for sure. The vibes are good, music is good! My favorite drink was the Summer Fling, didn't taste like alcohol much & u get a friendship bracelet with it. Would definitely come back, but would make a reservation next time!

I can't believe I'm just now writing a review about this place! I've been here so many times, it's my favorite late night, low-key, chic speakeasy! one of the few speakeasies that really tries to maintain its low profile. Max Capacity looks around 30 people, it can be tough to get in here without a reservation on a busy weekend! my favorite drink is the double bird, if you're a mezcal lover. But they really have something for everybody. each cocktail is carefully crafted, with their own unique spin and ingredients. these are not easy to make a cocktails, I really love the complexity it offers for taste buds. The servers/bartenders are also really nice and knowledgeable of their drinks. They also have some fun, non-traditional bar snacks! Such a great spot if you're in the Convoy area and looking for a nice and intimate social outing.

Everything about this place is Amazing! The service was top notch! Drinks were proper and strong! And the overall vibe of this place was super chill! Cole was our mixologist and he absolutely killed it! Great conversation, informative, and attentive! This is definitely one of the best speak easy bars in the city. Its kinda trippy getting to the location. You have to walk through an alley way behind businesses that gives you a feeling of wtf... but when you reach the door with the red light you have arrived! Its kinda cool to have to hunt the place down. Once inside I guarantee you will have an awesome time! Happy Hunting! JB Recommended
